Building Hire
The Old Nick Theatre is available to hire for performances, events, meetings, photography and filming, paranormal investigations & parties. We offer a 49 seat auditorium (expandable to 60 seats by prior arrangement).
A level stage with full LED lighting and recently upgraded sound system. Plus a retractable screen and projector.
A 300 square feet lounge, cafe and bar area and excellent bar facilities. The lounge and auditorium can be hired as a package or separately
Various hire packages are available.
Paranormal Hire
- Midweek events (Monday-Thursday) Start at 7pm and finish at midnight . Fee £200
- Friday events Start at 7pm and finish at midnight . Fee £300
- Saturday events Start at 7pm and finish at 10am Sunday . Fee £600
A deposit is payable on all bookings.
If you wish to cancel your booking you MUST give 30 days notice.
Hire fees & deposit
There is a non-refundable deposit of £50 for any hire. This amount will be calculated against the total hire fee.
For all ticketed events a fee of £5 per ticket sold (either through the theatre box office or the event organiser) is payable. A minimum fee £100 is payable in all instances.
The balance of all fees owed to the theatre must be paid by the event organiser no later than the date of the event. Payment can be made by bank transfer or in cash (for which a receipt will be given).
Hiring Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions form a legally binding contract between the hirer and the Gainsborough Theatre Company.
Please ensure that you read them carefully prior to making a booking. All bookings of the Old Nick Theatre are subject to these terms and conditions.
The theatre can seat up to 49 people in the auditorium. By prior arrangement only an additional 20 seats can be added, however this will further limit the stage space in the auditorium. This number must not be exceeded (This limit is imposed by our Fire Certificate).
This limit may be reduced should extra equipment need to be installed into the auditorium. The hirer will be informed of this by the Theatre Technician.
Access to install any staging or equipment prior to the performance is limited to one hour, unless otherwise agreed with the theatre. management.
Smoking is not allowed in any part of the theatre or dressing rooms.
No items shall be affixed to any part of the building by nails, tacks or other methods.
