Mission Statement

We are a registered charity (No.1137513). The organisations objectives are to advance the education of the public in all aspects of dramatic art and the development of public  appreciation of such by the provision of a theatre and facilities for the presentation of public performances.

To this aim we present a minimum of three full productions of our own each year, two youth theatre productions and productions from visiting theatre companies. We train young people between the ages of seven and sixteen in all aspects of stagecraft, lighting,  costume and scenery.

We are a non-profit making organisation. The theatre is a former Police station and Magistrates Court, it is a listed building (Grade 2) and the main structure is over 160 years old. The income we receive from grants, donations, hires and ticket sales is all utilised in maintaining the theatre structure and improving the facilities. If you would like to make a donation to assist our work please click the button below.
